Paisagens Continuas IV - Continuous Landscapes IV
Cotton canvas 25 x 35 cm and Acrylic Ink
Varnished and framed.
These paintings were born from a memory of time and place deeply embedded in me - landscapes glimpsed in childhood from the back seat of a moving car, rushing past like a long-exposure photograph. Fleeting yet lasting, they carry the sensation of movement and stillness existing at once. They are rooted in the belief that those who take the time to look will discover that what exists is also meant to be felt.
I wanted them to feel warm and familiar, yet undefined, so that they are not only my story but also yours if they resonate with you. A shared ground of memory open to personal interpretation, a place to meet and inhabit together.
The green of the land supports the gaze and reminds us that beauty is born from the meeting of what passes and what remains. Above it the sky unfolds as a quiet counterpoint, clouds drifting and reforming, holding the same rhythm of impermanence. Like our memory, the sky moves gently, inviting contemplation, offering time to breath and allowing the experience to continue beyond the edges of the paper or canvas.
